Responsibilities
- Empty container management for all external carriers
- Managing Impediments and sending reminders to CS team
- Monitor time-slot request process and manage exceptions
- Send delivery orders to all external carriers
- Chase missing EDOs
- Communicate delivery delays to customers / customer service
- Check LCL availability – update local system or Cargowise EDI
- Monitor delivery KPIs by GPS tracking
- Arrange outsourced deliveries with carrier
- Ensures on time availability of transport resources and monitoring of truck dwell time at warehouse and customers
- Provides timely information for transport related issues/concerns that include Customer Returns and Refusals
- Monitors and ensures on time delivery to customer and timely return of POD (proof of delivery) to plant based on set timeline
- Track deliveries and provide information with regards to customers as well as to internal managers
- Performs other functions within the distribution section when the need arises
- Creates and sends cartage advises
- Any other necessary tasks from the client/Team Leader
Requirements
- At least 2-years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or equivalent
- With accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at 40 wpm and 95% accuracy
- Must be adept in using search tools, browsers and email features
- With excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be keen to details
- Self-motivated, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and tasks when required
- Ability to adapt to change and meet the changing demands of the work environment
- Ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances and instill trust in others while upholding the values of the organization
